Iran Condemns Israel's "Unprecedented" Crimes in Gaza, Criticizes US Support

Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, has strongly condemned Israel's actions in the besieged Gaza Strip, describing them as "unprecedented" crimes aimed at the destruction of Palestine. Speaking at an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Amir-Abdollahian underscored the urgent need for Islamic countries to take decisive measures to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and halt Israeli aggression.

Amir-Abdollahian criticized the United States for its unwavering support for Israel, which he argued has emboldened the regime to escalate its military activities, particularly in Rafah. He warned that Washington's obstructionism in the UN Security Council undermines efforts to prevent further atrocities in Gaza and exposes the illusion of relying on the US to intervene in the ongoing crisis.

Accusing the US of complicity in Israel's crimes, Amir-Abdollahian asserted that any economic or financial relations with Israel only serve to enable its "heinous behavior" toward Palestinians. He dismissed US officials' expressions of concern for Gaza's humanitarian situation as insincere and urged Islamic countries to refrain from engaging with the Israeli regime.

Amir-Abdollahian's remarks highlight Iran's firm stance against Israeli aggression and its call for collective action within the OIC to support the Palestinian people and address the escalating crisis in Gaza.
