Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi affirmed on Thursday his country’s “permanent support for Lebanon in its crisis.”
“Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, in a phone call, offered his congratulations to Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, on the successful holding of the Lebanese legislative elections,” the Iraqi Premiership media office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
“We reiterate Iraq’s support for the brotherly Lebanon government and people, and their aspirations to consolidate stability as it achieves this democratic step that expresses the Lebanese people’s will, and their aspirations to consolidate stability, build the state, and achieve sustainable development,” Al-Kazemi said.
He also emphasized “the importance of joint cooperation in various fields” and “the depth of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.”
“Iraq will always stand by Lebanon in its crisis, in order to enhance regional security and achieve the will of its peace-loving people,” he concluded.
