Israel Regime Defies UN Ceasefire Call for Gaza, Drawing Global Concern over War Crimes

Israel has once again defied international calls for a ceasefire in Gaza, sparking global concern. The United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution on Friday, urging an immediate end to hostilities in the war-torn region, the release of all civilians, the protection of innocent lives and international institutions, and the safe passage of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

In a controversial move, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen took to social media to express the nation's stance, stating, "We reject outright the UN General Assembly's despicable call for a ceasefire."

The resolution garnered support from 120 nations, highlighting widespread international consensus on the urgency of a ceasefire. However, 14 countries, including the United States and Israel, voted against it, drawing sharp criticism for their stance in the face of escalating tensions in Gaza. Israel's rejection of the call has drawn further attention to the ongoing conflict and its impact on the civilian population.
