Iran Strongly Condemns U.S.-British Attack on Houthis in Yemen, Citing Violation of Sovereignty

Iran has vehemently denounced the recent U.S.-British attack on Houthis in Yemen, warning that such military actions will exacerbate "insecurity and instability" in the region, as reported by Iranian state media. Nasser Kanaani, spokesperson for Iran's foreign ministry, expressed strong condemnation, labeling the attacks as a blatant violation of Yemen's sovereignty and territorial integrity, along with being a breach of international laws.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian commended the Iran-aligned Houthis for their actions against Israel-linked vessels, emphasizing their role in upholding maritime security. Amirabdollahian urged the United States to cease its comprehensive support for Israel, stating, "Yemen's action in confronting the genocide of the Israeli regime is admirable. Sanaa strictly adheres to maritime security." He further called on the White House to halt military and security cooperation with Tel Aviv, redirecting attention towards restoring security across the region, particularly in Gaza and the West Bank. The situation underscores rising tensions and geopolitical complexities in the Middle East.
