The Yemeni ambassador to Iran, Ibrahim Mohammad al-Deilami, has accused the United States and its Western allies of attempting to hinder Yemen's support for the people of Gaza during Israel's ongoing offensive. In an interview with Iran's ISNA news agency, al-Deilami condemned recent attacks on Yemen by the US and the UK, stating that they are seeking to expand the war in the region. He emphasized that Yemen does not want the conflict to escalate further but believes the US aims to divert attention from the Palestinian issue by widening the scope of the war. The attacks, initiated by the US and UK, were in response to Yemeni forces staging anti-Israel operations in support of Palestinians in the Red Sea. Al-Deilami criticized the lack of legitimacy of these attacks under international law, highlighting the failure to obtain UN authorization. He asserted that the primary goal of the US and its allies is to prevent Yemen from supporting the people of Palestine, while also suggesting their support for the Zionist regime through strikes on Yemen. The US has continued its offensive in various parts of Yemen, including the capital Sana'a and the western port city of Hudaydah, since the initial attacks on Friday.
