Iraqi Resistance Group Slams US Response to Jordan Attack, Highlights Gaza Carnage

The secretary general of Iraq's Kata’ib Sayyid al-Shuhada resistance group has criticized the US for expressing sorrow over the loss of three American troops in an attack near the Jordan-Syria border while ignoring the ongoing violence in Gaza.

In a social media post, Abu Ala al-Walai denounced the US's focus on the deaths of American soldiers while remaining indifferent to the tragic toll of Palestinian lives in Gaza, where thousands have been killed or injured by US-backed Israeli forces.

Al-Walai condemned the US's contradictory stance, arguing that it exposes the country's true nature and challenges its claims of championing human rights. He asserted that such hypocrisy has eroded international sympathy and left the US isolated.

The comments come in the wake of a drone attack near the Syrian border that claimed the lives of three US troops and injured dozens more. President Joe Biden vowed to hold those responsible accountable, while Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin expressed outrage and sadness over the incident.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a coalition of anti-terror fighters, has claimed responsibility for attacks on multiple bases, including the one targeted near the Jordan-Syria border.

Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a senior member of Yemen's Supreme Political Council, interpreted the attack as a manifestation of growing anti-American sentiment in the Arab world. He urged the US to reconsider its policies in the region.

The strikes on US military installations by Iraqi resistance forces are seen as retaliation for Washington's support for Israel's actions in Gaza, with the attacks serving as a testimony to the widespread discontent with US policies among Arab populations.
