Biden Decides Response to Jordan Attack; Iran Denies Responsibility in Growing Tensions

US President Joe Biden confirmed that he has made a decision regarding how the United States will respond to the recent deadly attack on American forces in Jordan. Speaking to reporters during his departure from the White House for a campaign trip to Florida, Biden acknowledged having chosen a course of action but did not provide further details.

While affirming his commitment to avoid escalating tensions into a wider conflict in the West Asia region, Biden reiterated his stance that Iran bears responsibility for supplying weapons. However, Iran's mission to the United Nations vehemently denied any involvement in attacks against US forces, attributing such incidents to conflicts between regional resistance groups and the US military.

In a statement and subsequent letter to the UN Security Council, Iran's permanent ambassador, Amir Saeid Iravani, refuted US accusations and emphasized that no groups affiliated with Iran's Armed Forces operate under its control or on its behalf in Iraq, Syria, or elsewhere in the region. Iravani stressed that Iran bears no responsibility for the actions of any individual or group in the area, firmly rejecting any allegations to the contrary.
