The Ansarullah resistance movement has issued a stern warning to Italy, stating that any participation in attacks on Yemen would render it a target. Mohamed Ali al-Houthi, head of Ansarullah's supreme revolutionary committee, delivered this message in an interview with the Italian newspaper La Repubblica.
Encouraging Italy to exert pressure on Israel to halt its hostilities in Gaza, which have claimed over 27,000 lives since October, Houthi emphasized that this action is crucial for achieving peace in the region.
In response to Italy's decision to provide support to a US-led maritime task force in the Red Sea, aimed at safeguarding ships bound for Israel, Yemen has targeted vessels linked to the regime or heading toward Israeli ports. This gesture underscores Yemen's solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians in Gaza.
The European Union's decision to join the US-led mission against Yemen in December has been met with Yemeni resistance. Yemen asserts that attacks on ships in the Red Sea will continue until the regime ends its genocidal campaign.
Furthermore, Yemen has assured international shipping companies of their safety in the region, provided they are not associated with the regime or destined for ports in the occupied Palestinian territories.
