Aerial Assaults Persist in Yemen while Pro-Palestinian Strikes

American and British warplanes continue their airstrikes on Yemen as the country supports Palestinian strikes against Israeli targets and vessels heading towards occupied territories' ports. The latest attacks targeted Sa’ada Province in Yemen's northwest, focusing on the al-Qutainat area in Sa'ada's Baqim District. Earlier, airstrikes hit the al-Jabana, al-Taif, and al-Kathib areas in the coastal province of al-Hudaydah.

These assaults come in response to Yemeni Armed Forces operations against Israeli vessels and those bound for occupied territories, aiming to pressure Israel to halt the US and UK-backed war on Gaza since October 7, 2023. Yemen's support for Palestinians has been unwavering, as evidenced by a recent million-man march in Sana’a, amidst a brutal Israeli offensive that has claimed nearly 28,000 Palestinian lives, predominantly women, children, and adolescents.

Yemeni forces have also targeted American and British warships deployed to protect commercial goods and arms flow towards occupied territories. In a recent development, the British Royal Navy withdrew HMS Diamond from the Red Sea after multiple missile attacks from Yemen. Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of Yemen's Supreme Political Council, declared that all foreign warships would eventually be compelled to leave the Red Sea, following the successful operation against HMS Diamond.
