Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Omani counterpart Sayyid Badr al-Busaidi emphasized the urgency of international intervention to halt Israel's ongoing atrocities against Palestinians during a phone call on Sunday.
The ministers condemned Israel's relentless aggression in the Gaza Strip, particularly its siege and attacks on al-Shifa hospital, resulting in the loss of lives among patients and medical staff. Despite Israeli claims, Hamas has denied using the hospital as a command center.
Israeli forces initiated a new assault on al-Shifa on March 18, exacerbating the dire situation in Gaza, where the hospital once served as a crucial medical facility before sustaining damage in the conflict.
Hamas criticized the international community's silence regarding Israel's actions, denouncing the military's raid on al-Shifa Hospital.
Since October 2023, Israel's aggression has resulted in the deaths of over 32,000 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, with thousands more injured.
Amid their discussions, the Iranian and Omani officials reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral ties and fostering cooperation on regional and global issues.
