Iran Asserts Stability Amid Regional Turmoil, Emphasizes Bilateral Cooperation with Oman

During a joint press conference in Muscat, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian conveyed Iran's commitment to maintaining stability and security in the tumultuous West Asia region. He emphasized Iran's resolve to safeguard its national security and hold responsible parties accountable, referencing a recent Israeli attack on an Iranian consulate in Syria.

Amir-Abdollahian praised Oman for its efforts in alleviating unilateral sanctions imposed on Iran and highlighted the mutual determination of Iran and Oman to enhance economic and trade relations, particularly through increased private sector involvement. He also underscored the significance of the planned North-South transport corridor linking Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan to Oman via Iran.

Addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Amir-Abdollahian affirmed Iran and Oman's shared stance on the immediate cessation of Israeli aggression and the urgent need for humanitarian aid to reach Gaza without delay. He expressed gratitude to Oman for admitting individuals wounded in the conflict to its hospitals.

Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Al-Busaidi welcomed Amir-Abdollahian's visit as an opportunity to strengthen bilateral and regional ties. He emphasized the joint commitment of Iran and Oman to seek solutions to regional tensions and crises, including the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza, which has inflicted immense suffering on the Palestinian people.
