Gold Star Family Member Calls for Spiritual Renewal in America Amid Questions Over Afghanistan Withdrawal

Christy Shamblin, a Gold Star family member whose daughter-in-law, Marine Sgt. Nicole Gee, was among the 13 American service members killed in an ISIS-K terror attack during the tumultuous withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021, has delivered a heartfelt message calling for a spiritual revival in America.

Speaking on the latest episode of "Quick Start," Shamblin shifted the focus from her family's grief to a broader call for spiritual renewal across the nation.

"Bring God back," Shamblin urged. "Bring Him back into our government, bring Him back into our military, bring Him back into every aspect of our lives, because we have lost sight and we can get it back."

Rather than dwelling on her personal loss, Shamblin emphasized the role of the American people in shaping the country's direction and holding leaders accountable.

"We just have to get stronger and more outspoken," she declared. "And remind the powers that be that we’re watching, and this is important to us."

Shamblin has been a vocal critic of the U.S. government's handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal, seeking answers and accountability for the decisions that led to her daughter-in-law's death. She praised Sgt. Nicole Gee's character, describing her as "dynamic and amazing" with a "positive mental attitude."

As questions linger about the U.S. government's actions and decisions during the chaotic withdrawal, Shamblin's call for a spiritual reawakening serves as a poignant reminder of the need for unity, reflection, and moral clarity in these challenging times.
