He emphasized Iran's backing for the decision, describing it as a crucial step toward fulfilling international obligations and restoring Palestinian rights.
Iravani underscored Palestine's qualifications for UN membership as outlined in Article 4 of the UN Charter, while criticizing the actions of the Israeli regime for violating international law and UN resolutions.
He condemned the US for obstructing a draft press statement at the Security Council calling for an impartial investigation into mass graves discovered in Gaza, labeling such behavior as unacceptable and reckless.
Iravani criticized the US's unwavering support for Israel and highlighted the isolation of the US in its unconditional backing of the Israeli regime, as demonstrated by the General Assembly vote.
Iran reiterated its firm stance in supporting Palestine's quest for fundamental rights, including self-determination and the establishment of an independent state with Al-Quds as its capital. Iravani emphasized the importance of a sustainable ceasefire in Gaza and reaffirmed Iran's principled position on the Palestinian issue and its non-recognition of the Israeli regime.
