Ayatollah Khamenei Vows to Strengthen Regional Ties Despite Loss of President Raeisi

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei reaffirmed Iran's commitment to strengthening bonds with regional states, even in the wake of the "difficult" loss of President Ebrahim Raeisi. This message was conveyed during meetings with regional leaders who visited Tehran to honor the late president.

#### Meeting with Qatar’s Emir

In a meeting with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Ayatollah Khamenei expressed gratitude for Qatar's condolences and emphasized the importance of enhancing the collaborative relationship between Iran and Qatar. The Leader highlighted that regional unity is essential to counter adversarial efforts aimed at disrupting stability and peace.

“We see no limits for expanding relations with Iran,” the Qatari emir assured, reiterating the strong and enduring ties between the two nations.

#### Strengthening Iran-Pakistan Relations

Ayatollah Khamenei also received Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, expressing deep gratitude for the support and sympathy from Pakistan. He underscored the importance Iran places on its relationship with Pakistan and the potential for further strengthening these ties under the new Pakistani government.

“Friendly relations between brotherly countries do not always go smoothly, and we must overcome obstacles and pursue the progress of cooperation with determination and in practice,” the Leader stated. He highlighted President Raeisi’s recent trip to Pakistan as a potential turning point, emphasizing that Acting President Mohammad Mokhber would continue to pursue cooperative agreements.

Prime Minister Sharif echoed these sentiments, noting that Raeisi’s visit laid a beneficial foundation for the future expansion of bilateral relations.

#### Tunisia’s Anti-Israel Stance

Ayatollah Khamenei also met with Tunisian President Kais Saied, welcoming the renewal of relations between Iran and Tunisia. He praised the presence of a virtuous and academic leader like Saied as an opportunity for Tunisia to enhance its international standing after years of despotic rule and isolation from the Islamic world.

Referring to the 2011 Tunisian protests, Ayatollah Khamenei recognized the nation's significant potential for progress. He expressed hope that President Saied’s leadership would foster unity and further advancement for Tunisians.

The Leader also commended Saied’s stance against Israel, emphasizing that such positions should be promoted within the Arab world, asserting that steadfastness and perseverance are crucial for success.

These interactions highlight Iran's ongoing efforts to maintain and strengthen its regional alliances, despite the recent tragic loss of its president.
