Iran Condemns UN Nuclear Agency's Resolution, Vows to Proceed with Nuclear Plans

Iran's Foreign Ministry has strongly denounced the recent passage of an anti-Iranian resolution by the United Nations nuclear agency, asserting that such actions will not deter the country from pursuing its nuclear development initiatives.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the ministry criticized the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors for accusing Iran of inadequate cooperation with the agency, despite Tehran's warnings.

"The passage of the resolution will not hinder Iran's determination to continue its peaceful use of nuclear energy and to implement its developmental nuclear projects in accordance with its rights under relevant international agreements," the ministry stated.

Iran's Atomic Energy Organization chief announced plans to construct additional nuclear power plants to increase electricity generation capacity, reaffirming the nation's commitment to peaceful nuclear activities.

The resolution was condemned by Iran as a politically motivated and unconstructive maneuver, orchestrated by certain Western nations to exploit international mechanisms against independent countries.

Iran maintains that its nuclear energy program is one of the most transparent among IAEA member states, emphasizing its willingness to address concerns through constructive dialogue and technical cooperation.

The Foreign Ministry affirmed Iran's commitment to ongoing technical collaboration with the IAEA within the framework of its international obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and relevant Safeguards Agreement.
