Iran Dismisses US-France "Baseless" Allegations in Joint Roadmap

Iran has rebuffed a "joint roadmap" released by France and the United States, denouncing it as containing "baseless and unacceptable" accusations against the Islamic Republic. Nasser Kan'ani, the spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry, condemned the document as politically motivated and reflective of the continued failed policies of Presidents Joe Biden and Emmanuel Macron.

In a statement issued on Monday, Kan'ani reiterated Iran's commitment to technical cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) within the bounds of international obligations. He emphasized Iran's role in promoting regional and global stability, highlighting its efforts in combating terrorist groups.

Furthermore, Kan'ani addressed Iran's stance on the Ukrainian conflict, advocating for political resolutions to disputes between involved parties. He criticized the hypocrisy of those accusing Iran, particularly referencing support for Israel and suppression of Palestinian rights.

Kan'ani advised President Macron against aligning with hostile US policies towards Iran, urging for a reconsideration of such approaches.

The joint roadmap released by Biden and Macron accused Iran of transferring military materials to Russia for use against Ukraine and attributed destabilizing actions to Iran in the region. Iran has consistently denied these allegations, emphasizing its commitment to peaceful initiatives and rejecting claims of involvement in regional conflicts or support for hostile activities against Western interests.

Despite Western pressure, Iran maintains its position and continues to advocate for diplomatic solutions to regional tensions while upholding its international obligations.
