Iraqi Resistance Groups Pledge Solidarity with Hezbollah Against Potential Israeli Aggression

Fighters from Iraqi anti-terror resistance groups have declared their full support for Hezbollah, vowing to join forces with the Lebanese group if Israel launches a new war on Lebanon. According to Lebanon’s al-Akhbar daily, unnamed sources from the Islamic Resistance in Iraq—a coalition of anti-terror fighters—reported that Kata'ib Hezbollah, Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada, and Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba are prepared to assist Hezbollah in any confrontation with Israel.

Kadhim al-Fartousi, spokesman for Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada, emphasized Hezbollah's significant military capabilities, stating that the group's weapons and fighters are sufficient to repel Israeli aggression. He affirmed that Iraqi fighters would be ready to support Hezbollah in southern Lebanon if needed, framing the conflict as a critical issue for Muslims and Arabs.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has cautioned against escalating tensions in West Asia, warning that Lebanon must not become another conflict zone like Gaza. The warning comes as Israeli officials threaten potential invasions.

Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has warned that no location in Israeli-occupied territories would be safe from Hezbollah's attacks in the event of a full-scale war. He mentioned the possibility of an incursion into the Galilee region if Israel invades southern Lebanon and threatened to target any country supporting Israel, specifically citing Cyprus for hosting Israeli military training exercises.

Hezbollah has been conducting near-daily rocket attacks on Israeli positions in retaliation for the regime’s aggression against Lebanon and in solidarity with Palestinians. The ongoing conflict in Gaza has resulted in the deaths of at least 37,551 Palestinians, primarily women and children.

Additionally, clashes on the Lebanese border have claimed at least 455 lives, including more than 80 civilians. Hezbollah's resistance during the Israeli wars on Lebanon in 2000 and 2006 led to significant Israeli retreats in both instances.

This solidarity and readiness from Iraqi resistance groups underscore the potential for a broader regional conflict if Israel pursues further military actions against Lebanon.
