Former UN Official Blasts U.S. for Complicity in Gaza Genocide

Craig Mokhiber, a former United Nations official who resigned last year in protest of the Israeli regime’s ongoing assault on Gaza and the U.S. and its allies' support for the attack, continues to condemn Washington’s role.

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Mokhiber criticized U.S. policy in Gaza, stating that it is not merely a failure but a “terrible success.” He accused the U.S. of being a key player in the genocide, describing its involvement as part of a broader effort to perpetuate the crisis.

Mokhiber dismissed the U.S.'s claims of opposing the aggression, which has resulted in nearly 40,800 Palestinian deaths, predominantly women and children, since October 7. He labeled Washington's efforts to mediate a truce as a "charade," noting its refusal to pressure Israel despite being its major ally and benefactor.

He also highlighted the U.S.’s ineffective aid efforts, including the failed floating pier and minimal humanitarian supplies, as further evidence of its insincere support. Mokhiber criticized American officials for their “crocodile tears” over civilian casualties and for pushing Israel to intensify its assault, labeling these actions as mere “fig leaves” to obscure their support for the ongoing destruction of Gaza.

According to Mokhiber, the U.S.'s real objective is to aid in the destruction of Gaza, making it uninhabitable and paving the way for ethnic cleansing.
