Hamas Accuses US of Concealing Arms Transfers to Israel and Blocking Aid to Gaza

Hamas has accused the US administration of misleading Congress about ongoing arms shipments to Israel and concealing details about the blockade of Gaza, where over 2 million Palestinians are suffering from relentless Israeli airstrikes.

In a statement on Wednesday, Hamas criticized President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken for their role in what it described as a "genocide" against Palestinians. The group alleged that Blinken intentionally withheld information on Israeli military actions in Gaza to ensure continued arms supplies to Israel, a move it claims violates international law.

Hamas called on US Congress members and judicial bodies to investigate Blinken’s actions, which they argue have contributed to the deaths of thousands of Palestinians, either through direct attacks with American weapons or through policies of deprivation and starvation enforced by Israel.

The group also urged the International Criminal Court (ICC) to take legal action against Blinken based on recent reports.

Despite Blinken’s statement in May claiming that Israel was not obstructing US humanitarian aid to Gaza, memos from USAID and the State Department’s Refugees Bureau revealed that Israel had deliberately blocked essential food and medical supplies to Gaza, contributing to a severe humanitarian crisis. These reports documented cases of aid being obstructed, including attacks on aid workers and the destruction of humanitarian infrastructure.

Following these revelations, calls for Blinken’s resignation have grown louder, as critics accuse him of violating both US and international laws.

Since October 7, the US has sent over 50,000 tons of weapons to Israel, despite legal restrictions on arms transfers that hinder humanitarian aid. The ongoing conflict has resulted in over 41,000 Palestinian deaths, with thousands more injured or missing under the rubble.
