According to a poll conducted by Pew, USA president George Bush had a 70% approval rating the week before his Mission Accomplished speech in Iraq war. It would never reach that again and the Iraq war divided America. The president’s approval rating continued to decline.
On this day, 2013, Iran signed an interim agreement with the P5+1 countries, agreeing to limit its nuclear program in exchange for the reduction of sanctions. While Iran fulfilled all its promises, the P5+1 countries, especially the United States, increased their sanctions against the Iranian people.
