Iran Offers Anti-Terrorism Cooperation with Pakistan Following Deadly Bomb Blast

In response to the tragic terrorist bomb blast at a religious gathering in Pakistan's Balochistan province, Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Mohammad Baqeri, expressed Iran's readiness for comprehensive cooperation with Pakistan in the fight against terrorism. The message was conveyed to Pakistani Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir.

The blast, which occurred near a mosque in Mastung district, claimed the lives of at least 50 people and left over 50 others injured. While the incident is suspected to be a suicide attack, no group has claimed responsibility yet.

Baqeri extended his condolences to Pakistan's Army chief, armed forces, government, and people. He also prayed for the swift recovery of those injured in the tragic incident. This gesture of solidarity and support underscores Iran's commitment to collaborative efforts in combating terrorism in the region.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi also addressed his Pakistani counterpart, Arif Alvi, expressing condolences to the government and people of Pakistan and condemning the terrorist attack. The messages emphasize the shared determination to counter the threats posed by terrorism and promote regional security.
