Iranian Foreign Minister Strongly Condemns Israel's Actions in Gaza, Calls for Muslim Unity

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has delivered a resounding condemnation of what he described as "war crimes" committed by Israel against women and children in the Gaza Strip. He made this statement on his X account after attending an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

During the OIC meeting, Israel carried out an airstrike on the Anglican-run al-Ahli al-Arab Hospital, also known as the Baptist Hospital, in central Gaza. This attack resulted in the tragic loss of at least 500 Palestinian lives and left hundreds more injured, shocking the world. The incident has been widely condemned as a war crime and a crime against humanity.

Amir Abdollahian engaged in discussions with his counterparts during the OIC meeting. In his conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, the two diplomats explored strategies to halt Israel's alleged ruthless killing of Palestinians. They also discussed mutual concerns and regional developments.

The Iranian Foreign Minister, along with Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, decried the ongoing atrocities in Gaza, with a particular focus on the brutal assault on the Baptist Hospital. They categorized these actions as both "genocide and crimes against humanity." Both ministers called for Muslim nations to unite and send a strong message to the Israeli regime.

Additionally, Amir Abdollahian discussed the critical need to swiftly and decisively address what he referred to as Israeli "war crimes" against the vulnerable Gaza population, especially women and children, during a phone conversation with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi. They emphasized the necessity of lifting the blockade on Gaza, delivering urgent humanitarian assistance, and preventing the forced relocation of people.

In another telephone exchange, Amir Abdollahian and Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf exchanged views on regional developments, with a focus on the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the actions of the Zionist regime.
