Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson, Nasser Kanani, stated on Monday that the attacks targeting US forces in Iraq and the wider region are a direct outcome of "wrong American policies." Iran specifically cited the US's support for Israel during its conflict with Hamas as a contributing factor.

Since the eruption of the conflict between Hamas and Israel on October 7, US forces in Iraq and Syria have faced multiple attacks. This escalation of hostilities began when Hamas launched a surprise attack on southern Israel.

In response, Israel initiated an intense and indiscriminate bombing campaign in the Gaza Strip, resulting in a high civilian death toll, including the loss of 8,306 lives, with the majority being women and children.

Nasser Kanani remarked, "The attack on American bases in the region, especially in Iraq, is the result of wrong American policies in the region, which we hope it will correct." These attacks, according to Iran, were carried out by groups opposing the US presence in the region and strongly objecting to American support for the actions of the Israeli government.

In a parting statement, Kanani emphasized the principle of "you reap what you sow" and urged the United States to cease its support for Israel.
