Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization: Enemies Fail to Hinder Peaceful Nuclear Program

In defiance of illegal sanctions, Iran's progress in its peaceful nuclear energy program remains unhindered, according to Mohammad Eslami, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI). Speaking at an event unveiling two domestic technologies at Mobarakeh Steel Company, Eslami credited the AEOI's "self-confidence" for overcoming challenges posed by sanctions and thwarting attempts to impede Iran's advancements.

Despite efforts by adversaries, Eslami emphasized that the AEOI, with a strategic mission to bolster the country's power, has successfully navigated obstacles. He highlighted the failure of sanctions to curtail Iran's progress, stating, "The enemies tried to prevent Iran’s progress through sanctions, but they failed."

Looking ahead, Eslami revealed the AEOI's ambitious plan to generate 20,000 kilowatts of nuclear power by 2041. He reiterated Iran's commitment to a peaceful nuclear agenda in accordance with international regulations and the principles of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Highlighting Iran's resilience in the face of challenges, Eslami mentioned the AEOI's success in producing precise tools utilized by 150 steel companies and industries, noting the country's capability to export these tools.

Iran, despite facing US sanctions and Western obstacles, has consistently achieved significant nuclear milestones. The nation, a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), continues close cooperation with the IAEA. The 2015 nuclear agreement, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), stands as a testament to Iran's commitment to demonstrating the peaceful nature of its nuclear program to the international community.
