Gaza Struggles Amid Israeli Aggression: Calls for Ceasefire Intensify

Overnight Israeli aggression in the besieged Gaza Strip has resulted in a devastating toll, with scores of Palestinians killed and widespread destruction reported. Despite mediator Qatar announcing a proposal for a ceasefire, the violence continues unabated.

According to Gaza's health ministry, 105 people were killed overnight as Israeli raids and shelling persisted in Khan Younis, which has become a focal point of intense fighting between Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli forces. One of the strikes targeted a residential building near the European Hospital in Khan Younis.

The ongoing Israeli invasion, spanning nearly four months, has left Gaza in dire conditions, with the United Nations declaring it "uninhabitable." Severe shortages of food, water, fuel, and medicines exacerbate the humanitarian crisis, prompting urgent calls for a ceasefire from the international community.

While Qatar claims approval of a truce proposal from Israel, Hamas has yet to confirm agreement on the framework. Israel's military minister, Yoav Gallant, asserts that the invasion will continue despite civilian casualties, stating, "We will continue until the end, there is no other way."

The situation at al-Amal Hospital in Khan Younis remains dire, with the Israeli military encircling the facility and obstructing access to medical supplies and aid. Reports indicate Israeli forces targeting civilians attempting to aid the wounded, further exacerbating the humanitarian emergency.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reports critical shortages in medical supplies, medications, and fuel at al-Amal Hospital, with limited food available for staff and displaced individuals. The health ministry highlights the plight of over 30,000 displaced Palestinians near Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, urging urgent intervention from the United Nations to address their dire needs.
