UNRWA's Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini highlighted the dire situation, stating that within four months of conflict, approximately 100,000 individuals in Gaza have suffered casualties.
The agency reported that over 80 percent of Gaza's 2.3 million population has been displaced, many of them multiple times.

In a distressing development, UNRWA disclosed that one of its food convoys came under Israeli artillery fire while delivering aid to starving Palestinians in northern Gaza. The agency underscored the imperative of ensuring safe and sustainable humanitarian access across the region to fulfill its mission effectively.
