Arab Countries Restrict US Military Actions Against Iran and Resistance Groups Amid Gaza Crisis

Several Arab countries, including the United Arab Emirates, are reportedly imposing restrictions on the United States and its allies from launching attacks against Iran and resistance groups from their territories amidst the Israeli onslaught on Gaza.

According to a report by Politico magazine, these Arab countries, particularly those seeking to improve relations with Iran, are increasingly limiting the use of their military bases for conducting strikes, including retaliatory actions in Iraq, Syria, and the Red Sea region.

While the exact number of countries involved remains undisclosed, Politico highlights the UAE's motivations, suggesting they seek to avoid appearing hostile towards Iran and distance themselves from Western and Israeli influence for public opinion reasons.

The heightened restrictions come as US forces and their partners escalate attacks in the region, supporting Israel's genocidal war on Palestinians in Gaza, which has resulted in a devastating toll on civilian lives since October 7, 2023.
