Iran Holds Second Court Hearing Against US for Alleged Support of Terror Groups

The Iranian judiciary held a second court hearing on Sunday for a complaint against the US government and its military commanders, accused of supporting terror groups in the West Asia region. The hearing took place at Branch 55 of the Special Legal Court for International Affairs of the Tehran Province Judiciary Department.

Presiding Judge Majid Hosseinzadeh listened to the complaints from families of individuals martyred while fighting terrorist groups in countries like Syria and Iraq. The case now includes 725 Iranian nationals from 15 provinces seeking damages and punishment for the US government and its military commanders for their alleged support of groups such as Daesh and Jibhat al-Nusrah.

The first session of the trial was held in November last year. The case has since expanded to cover complaints from more claimants against 18 defendants, including the US government.
