Bahraini Cleric Calls for Continued Resistance Against Monarchical Regime

On the 13th anniversary of the popular uprising against Bahrain's ruling Al Khalifah dynasty, Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim urged the nation to persist in their resistance against the US-backed monarchy. Speaking during a televised ceremony in Iran's holy city of Qom on February 14, the day the uprising began in 2011, Sheikh Qassim called on Bahrainis to intensify their efforts for change.

He expressed confidence in the eventual victory of the Bahraini people, envisioning the end of American influence and corruption, and the attainment of complete independence. Sheikh Qassim emphasized the unwavering determination of the Bahraini nation, asserting that they would not retreat from their legitimate demands.

Despite the pro-Western stance of the Al Khalifah regime, Sheikh Qassim affirmed the resilience and glory of the Bahraini people. He also condemned the regime's normalization of ties with Israel, denouncing it as a betrayal of Islam, Muslims, and human dignity.

Anti-monarchy demonstrations have been frequent in Bahrain, with protesters advocating for a just participatory system of governance. However, the regime has responded with harsh crackdowns on dissenting voices.

Furthermore, Sheikh Qassim praised the Palestinian resistance, particularly Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, highlighting its commitment to strengthening the Palestinian cause and confronting the Zionist enemy. He commended the cooperation among Palestinian factions, Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iraqi anti-terror groups as vital in this endeavor.
